Abstract
On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which will take place on 20 November 2019, the paper intends to propose a critical reflection about the representations of childhood that undergo current educational practices: do adult-centric perspectives still prevail or are we working intentionally to promote and spread a more careful perspective, in order to recognize the value of child as a competent subject and as a citizen (not in the future but now)? The article therefore invites us to ask ourselves about the idea of child underlying educational choices, to critically investigate the relationship between representations of childhood and teaching practices, between childhood cultures and logics of educational projects.
