Abstract
In wartime, the theatre plays an ambiguous role. It is widely used to mask, hide and camouflage the outrage and is widely proposed as a defense of humanity from violence, both as an tool to unveil the horrors of war and as a instrument of resistance in civil persecution, and finally as a mean for the community reconstruction and reconciliation and peace. In recent years the last aspect has increasingly caught on thanks to the methodologies of social theatre.
