Abstract

The adoption of e-HRM into organizations has both supported and stimulated innovations, not only in terms of what technologies can be used to accomplish human resource tasks, but also as regards organizational design. Indeed, HRM systems act as coordination solutions in delivering people management practices to line managers and/or directly to employees (Ruël, Bondarouk, & Looise, 2004). This entry examines the theory and practice of design thinking and applies it to the context of organizational design and human resource management.
