Abstract
The essay takes into consideration the fair treatment and trial of those individuals who are suspected of terrorist acts. Concepts like 'just war' and 'criminal law of fight' are put under scrutiny, while 'dignity' and 'fair process' are considered in depth as antidotes to emergency drifts derogating from the Rule of Law. The author also highlights the influence of the Media on the circle of fear and the related demand for stricter criminal policies.
