Das Vermächtnis der politisch-ökonomischen Pamphlete von 1815

This paper was written in English, in the early 1990s, and translated in German and published as the leading Comment (with the title Das Vermächtnis der politisch-ökonomischen Pamphlete von 1815) in the Companion to the volume in the Series reproducing the five famous pamphlets, all published in London in February,1815, that have traditionally been considered as the origin of the theory of Rent. The English version was later published in: “On the Origin of the Theory of Rent in Economics” in: Mauro Baranzini, Claudia Rotondi, Roberto Scazzieri (a cura di), Resources, Production and Structural Dynamics, 2015, Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, pp. 35-52. A French translation was later published in: “Sur l’origine de la théorie de la rente en économie”, in: Fabrice Tricou et Danielle Leeman (a cura di), Économie, mathématique et histoire.
