Abstract
Recent researches and studies, together with new critical editions of texts and documents relating to Pier\r\nDamiani and the monastery of Fonte Avellana allow us to update our current interpretation of the XXIst\r\ncanto of the Paradiso, with special regard to some specific but relevant issues such as Dante’s sources, his\r\nsupposed journey at Fonte Avellana and Pier Damiani’s biography.
