Dalla Geografia della musica alla valorizzazione turistico-musicale dei luoghi. Una panoramica

With over three hundred musical genres and forms, music has pervaded human life from antiquity to the present day (Basso, 1995; Blenkinsop et al., 2018). In our paper, we try to accompany the reader along a short journey through the different declinations of the relationship between music and Geography as “staged” in the main academic contributions dedicated to it. In doing so, we start from the assumption that "just as music cannot be separated from the other dimensions of the" human "" (Abbado, 1995, p. 7)), it is even less so from the interpretation / representation of places and from the analysis of the phenomena that materialize in them: phenomena the study of which puts Geography - thanks to its different branches – to the fore.
