The purpose of this paper is to explore how the fashion industry is reacting to the economy slowdown and to the resulting changes in the consumers behavior. Analyzing the main features of fast fashion and vintage fashion, some important elements have emerged: these two models should not be seen as substitutes but as complements since allow consumers to satisfy their desire for originality matching different kind of items.
