Crescita, coesione e dinamica del mercato del lavoro nelle regioni europee: evidenze del processo di convergenza

Economic growth and the dynamics of labour market have strong peculiarities in the EU context. In this work we are willing to revise the policy framework in the EU supporting employment and struggling unemployment, focusing on the empirical evidence of the economic and social cohesion. The main goal is to provide a descriptive picture of growth and labour market dynamics until 2008, just before the big economic crisis. Until then, economic and social cohesion have been characterized by a slow and differentiated process. The main causes of this heterogeneity have been measured as main objective of this paper.
