Abstract
This monograph deals with the Costantino Perazzi's work. Perazzi, an engineer, was the principal collaborator of Quintino Sella, the prime minister of economy in the period immediately after the Italy's reunification, which was able to obtain the balance budget of the State. Perazzi was instrumental in pursuing this politics, as the main author of the macinato's tax and the creation of a modern postal service in Italy.
