Abstract
This essay explores the issue of respect between cultures within work and training environments. Starting from a critique of multiculturalism and its identity-based or assimilationist drifts, the authors propose a perspective that sees cultural plurality as a constitutive feature of social life and as a resource. The role of training is highlighted as key to fostering reflective and relational spaces where respect can be practiced as a concrete and transformative act. The approach combines intercultural pedagogy, listening education, and organizational culture, emphasizing that respect among cultures cannot be reduced to passive tolerance but must involve active processes of recognition, interaction, and co-construction.
