Abstract
A 74-year-old man with a history of diabetes mellitus, coronary artery disease, and previous myocardial infarction presents to the emergency department with cardiogenic shock.
Three-dimensional computed tomographic (CT) angiography revealed the complete thrombotic occlusion of the aorta, arising from the descending aorta and including all the visceral arteries.
Multifocal ground-glass opacities were visualized in the bilateral lungs (Panels B and C). Diagnosis of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) was confirmed by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction analysis. The patient died immediately after the CT scan.
