Abstract
The essay explores the question of assessment of safety training from a qualitative point of view (What are the results? Which projects can be considered significant? Which projects have a rigorous assessment? Which projects are appropriate to
the context?). This matter seems to be interesting, especially because safety is a field regulated by many legislative formalities; as a consequence many formative events are
actually purely formal. After a short examination of some of the main educational theories about assessment, the essay assumes to enrich the ‘modus operandi’ with two pedagogical
elements: first, a multi-stakeholder assessment, focused on the different people involved and ready to understand their different interests to ensure safety; second, the choice of more
than one assessment instrument, preferring an assessment plan suitable for any situations.
