Cerebral palsy, brain lesions, and thrombophilic genetic factors

Risultato della ricerca: Contributo in rivistaArticolo

Abstract

Cerebral palsy is the most common cause of physical impairment in children. The aetiology of cerebral palsy is still not fully understood, even though the advent of early and serial imaging has dramatically increased detection of the brain lesions that are common in these patients. This has allowed us to link the various cerebral palsy types to specific aetiological periods and to the timing and localization of the brain lesions.
