Abstract
The article describes a community project developed in collaboration between a municipality and a charitable organisation to address the coronavirus pandemic emergency 2019 (COVID-19). The project aimed to develop actions to support the elderly through networking between public services, non-profit organisations and civil society in general. In particular, the role of young people who became active by becoming volunteers and providing essential help to the elderly emerged.
