Abstract
The article deals with the Italian reception of Ezra Pound's in the 1950s. His Pisan cantos were translated by Alfredo Rizzardi in 1951 and the volume, published by Guanda, was reviewed by Edoardo sanguineti in 1954. The Italian literary journal, "Nuova Corrente", devoted to the poet an entire volume published in 1956 with the title "Pound Symposium" containing important contributions by Montale, Izzo and many other Italian and foreign intellectuals. The article emphasizes the importance of Rapallo, where the poet lived, in Pound's inspiration and the extraordinary research carried out by Massimo Bacigalupo on his work.
