Abstract
The European Union (EU) has identified the social and educational role of\r\nsport and physical activity as a key theme for research. The assumption is\r\nthat European citizens are involved in a continuous learning process\r\nthroughout their lives. In physical and sport education context, the role of\r\nteachers, trainers and instructors is the pivot around which the goal of lifelong\r\nlearning. The cultural and professional barriers, unfortunately, between\r\nthe roles of which the first and the lack of a thorough and well-developed\r\nknowledge base centered on pedagogical sciences, seems to be a\r\nserious impediment. The pedagogy of physical exercise and sport is proposed\r\nas an area of study, based on the educational aspects of the movement,\r\ninterdisciplinary, located in an area sometimes known as “Sports and\r\nExercise”, “Kinesiology”, “Human Movement Sciences”, “Science of Fitness”.
