Abstract
Is it possible to pursue “intentionally” hope or is it an intimate posture defying your will? And if it stems from an intimate struggle, can it be transmitted, solicited? \r\nCan it be interpreted as a practice to be followed in a helping relationship? \r\nIs it realistic to consider the ability to open up new meaningful possibilities of living life as a professional competence of the caring professions? \r\nThe intention of giving an answer to these questions crosses the beliefs of some of the greatest philosophers of the twentieth century, in compliance with a phenomenological orientation taking its moves from lived experience.
