Abstract
Generally, when we talk about the link between human capital, investment in training and development we focus primarily on the economic dimension of the latter, leaving in the background the social one. The lifelong learning policies promoted at European level invite us to consider them together. Here we suggest another important dimension to discuss about this link: that of "human” development.
