Abstract

Recently, medicine has been reported as a further applicative field far electronic noses. Clinical chemistry researches showed, in the past, the importance of the analysis of volatiles present outside the human body and the correlation of the analysis with many important diseases. Electronic noses may offer the opportunity to reconsider the volatile compounds analysis in medicine offering the possibility of a fast qualitative screening. In this paper on experiment concerning with the analysis of breath of lung cancer patients and of healthy individuals is presented. Preliminary data show a c/ear distinction of patients breaths from those of healthy people.
