Abstract
The essay deals with the particula kind of existantialism of Andrej Tarkovkij. It is not an existentialism in the sense of Sartre, but it is a courageous profondity in addressing the most radical questions of the human condition. It is open to trascendence and it is deeply rooted in the russian literary tradition.
