Abstract

Over the years, awareness of environmental issues has placed the theme of sustainability at center of the international debate. Pedagogy is called to elaborate hermeneutical perspectives and project contributions to conduce to lasting, inclusive and supportive development. This article considers the United Nations Agenda 2030 as a commitment on the part of the countries involved to tackle some phenomena such as inequalities and respect for the environment that are not unrelated to the discourse on education. Interpreting the 2030 Agenda according to a pedagogical perspective means improving the educational action as a lever for social cohesion and sustainability, in the perspective of intergenerational responsibility. Higher Education, in alliance with the territory, can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development objectives through sustainable training programs and research projects to the benefit of the territory and young people.
