Abstract

The experience of agency is a complex one. It depends on the conceptual congruence between intentions and actual action and on the sensomotor congruence between prediction and actual sensory feedback. Moreover, we act in and with a context mainly out of our control. In a dynamic environment we interact with objects and subjects and in interaction we might undergo the more complex experience of inter-agency. In this chapter we will face the question of the role of agency in social and interacting contexts, especially during joint-actions. We will present early and recent remarks about the relation between intention, action and agency and about the relation between collectivity and agency. Finally we will outline an intersubjective perspective inherent in the origin of joint-agency
