Abstract

Bayesian estimation techniques are applied to discover the existence of environmental Kuznets curves for CO2 emissions at the global level by exploting a panel of data on emissions and economic drivers. The resulting evidence suggests that EKC exist with significant differences across groups of countries at different level of development.
