Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The contribution presents the edition of an unpublished manuscript of the seventeenth century, containing the travel report of the palatine counts of Sulzbach, Christian August and Johann Ludwig, who in a very particular period, that is during the Thirty Years War, embark on a journey of training in Italy. The essay presents the part of the journey that sees the two counts enter Italy from the Brenner Pass and travel south through Trentino, until their arrival in Verona. The edition of the pages of the manuscript is accompanied by a linguistic commentary which illustrates the historical-linguistic and stylistic peculiarities of the text and by historical-cultural information on the journey and the places visited.
