Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The lyrics of Matthias Claudius (1740-1815) are still very popular in Germany today. The contribution investigates the Italian reception of this writer during the first half of the twentieth century. It is part of a larger work that aims to outline the entire critical fortune of Claudius in the peninsula. In this essay are analyzed, in particular, the stories of German literature and the anthologies of the Germanists Giovanni Vittorio Amoretti (1929; 1936), Lorenzo Bianchi (1931; 1936; 1943), Rodolfo Bottacchiari (1941), as well as the poems translated by Dario de Tuoni (1941) and Persio Nesti (1942). The first part was published under the title "Zur italienischen Claudius-Rezeption im 19. Jahrhundert (" Jahresschriften der Claudius-Gesellschaft "19, 2010).
