Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Conceived in the decade following the Iranian revolution of 1979, Zubaida's work is the result of the union of some articles that appeared in different periods and occasions before the end of the eighties. The central theme of the book is the complex and multiform phenomenon of statehood and Islamist political activism in the Middle East. The privileged places of this research are Egypt and Iran, although there are references to other countries such as Syria and Iraq.
