Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The study outlines a path through the window motif in the literature of the present, a motif intended as a gaze on the world, as a mode of perception, as an opening towards the interior and the private sphere. Finding ourselves in front of a fascinating field of investigation with multiple meanings, there are several questions to which the volume aims to give an answer, from the meaning assumed, in contemporary literature, from the literary motif and from the forms of seeing and being that in it is represented by the relationship between the motif in its traditional representation and the traces left in the literature of recent decades by the 'window' opened up by new technologies and surveillance systems, in the context of a growing private infringement. The context and the means change but not the dynamics and issues raised, concerning the legitimacy of a look at such an intrusive point and its effects on the level of the relationship between the individual and the world.
