Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The book is the result of research conducted within the Institute for Corporate Values (ISVI), promoted by Bocconi University and Catholic University, of which the author is part of the Scientific Committee. The underlying hypothesis that drives the research is that well-managed companies are characterized by a common base of "values in action" which, taken together, define a certain conception of the company, its aims, its way of being and of functioning, of the role it is called upon to play in society, of the relationships it establishes with its various interlocutors. To enucleate the values in question and focus on them in their concrete work, after reviewing the relevant strands of literature, the research focuses on a limited number of companies, different according to sector, size and ownership structure. The Zambon group has been selected in the field of research as an interesting source of learning with regard to the values that guide the consolidation of the idea of a business community over a period of over one hundred years of corporate history.
