Abstract
The article analyses a case history about diffusion and interpretation of news via web. In particular, the case of an Italian secret agent killed by allied forces during the Iraqui conflict is analysed. The analysis shows the conflict between legacy media and blogs in diffusing and interpreting the news, and the role played by institutional information/disinformation in shaping the news against or in alliance with the media.
