[Autom. eng. transl.] WATZLAWICK PAUL. - Austrian psychotherapist (born in Villach on 25 July 1921), naturalized American. After studying philosophy and modern languages at the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice, training in analytical psychology at the Carl Gustav Jung Institute in Zurich and periods of work in San Salvador and Philadelphia, W. settled permanently in California since 1960. Here he works at the Mental Research Institute (MRI) in Palo Alto, of which he is the internationally best known exponent.
