Abstract

The contribution contains the results of the four ‘analysis of case‘ aimed at studying the relation between volunteerism and the participation to the ‘area plans’ in Lombardy and Latium. The contribution analyses : the characteristics of the voluntary organizations involved in the research, the skills and the formative processes adopted, the people involved and the practices of participation, the role of policy towards volunteerism and the volunteerism’s political role , the different ways of advocacy used by the voluntary organizations and some programmatic guidelines.
