Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The VIVRE Research Project intends to offer a contribution to analyze some of the interconnections between the poverty highlighted by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, focusing in particular on six forms of poverty: educational (SDG4), environmental (SDG13), agro-food ( SDG2), healthcare (SDG3), technological (SDG9) and historical-economic (SDG16). The project operates within two urban realities characterized by economic, environmental and social degradation: Kikwit (Democratic Republic of Congo) and a suburb of the metropolitan city of Milan. The aim of the research is to analyze at a multidisciplinary level and in a systemic way the manifestations and mutual influences of the six poverty in the two suburban contexts, one in a country with limited resources and the other in a high-income nation. Based on the analysis and following the principles of action research, the project's second objective is to experiment and monitor integrated interventions to combat poverty for an improvement in the living conditions of the two communities involved and to identify best practices for sustainable development that can be replicated in similar contexts through participatory paths.
