Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The detailed survey presents the cultural developments in the foothills of Lombardy, between the rivers Mella and Oglio, known as Franciacorta; an elitist viticulture that finds evidence since the early Middle Ages, especially in the estates of ecclesiastical and monastic institutions. A rich documentation allows us to highlight the tillage processes, the planting of new vines and the introduction of specialized viticultural crops.
