Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The 2017 wine-growing campaign in many Italian regions has been characterized, above all, by the alternation of extreme events. The exceptional collapse of temperatures which, in April, caused late frosts on vast areas damaging the shoots in the phase of active growth, was followed by a torrid summer, with high thermal summations, extraordinary thermal peaks and scarce or totally absent precipitations. A rather complicated scenario for the winemaker but, nevertheless, more and more recurrent if we consider the climatic trend of the last twenty years. In this context, the most widespread problems are the compression of phenological phases, the stunted vegetative growth and the alteration of the vegetative-productive performance of the vine.
