Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The essay stems from the reports presented at the XXVI EPIC Conference (Ezra Pound Interntional Conference) which was held in Italy, in Brunnenburg, Tyrol in Merano, in July 2015 and which had the title "Pound and the Green World". The theme of the conference was precisely the poet's close connection with nature. From the various reports, in fact, Ezra Pound's marked sensitivity to nature and his concrete interest in forms of cultivation based on very environmentally friendly ecological criteria emerged. Pound's conviction also emerged clearly that in artistic creation the force of poetic nature prevails. Through references to specific passages of the Cantos the term "nature" is investigated, as well as in the primary sense, in its multiple meanings: social, political, philosophical. But in Pound the conviction of a master and regulatory nature of the world is evident.
