Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Starting from the work "American Lessons" by Italo Calvino, theme of the Conference "Visions of the juridical", the contribution proposes a reflection about the category of "Multiplicity", placing it in relation with the social, philosophical-political and normative phenomenon of multiculturalism. Reflecting on current trends underway in the criminal law scenario, the paper highlights the tensions and problems that multiculturalism raises with respect to the application of criminal law, proposing a conception of the most reasonable sanctioning instrument with respect to the criminal policy objectives pursued and the diversification of specificities cultural of the offender.
