Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] A very long interpretative tradition proposes combining literary texts from a historical perspective, based on Hegelian categories and subsequently reworked on the phenomena of twentieth-century modernity. The crisis of history - as a crisis of the cause-effect relationship or as a distrust in the concept of positivist evolution - has weakened the idea of progress, starting above all from the last decades of the last century, when most of the ideological, political, economic and cultural events have shown limitations and inadequacies. This could have favored a change of gaze in the study of texts - from the verticality of history to the horizontality of geography, from the linearity of time to the circularity of space -, matured on the basis of the need to search and find new parameters to decode an author or a 'Opera.
