Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November 2021, Equaly has promoted an exploratory survey with the aim of gathering information on the phenomenon of violence and harassment against female music workers. This research report analyses and discusses the main results. The first chapter questions whether music is a 'men's' job and analyses its main definitions and characteristics. The second chapter discusses female participation in the music market, starting from data and results of previous research. The third chapter illustrates the research questions and tools. After showing who the female workers who took part in the survey are and what they do, the chapter then reports the main results of the survey conducted. The results of the analysis carried out together with Alessandra Micalizzi on the narratives collected and reported here will then be illustrated. The last chapter reports some final considerations, which are not intended to be conclusive, but rather make a new beginning necessary.
