Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] Pedro Mártir de Anglería wrote about America without leaving Spain, he was an immobile traveler; However, his works revealed the world that was being forged in the imagination of the 15th century in a balanced way, intermingling real news with a repertoire of knowledge that included monsters, fountains of eternal youth, etc. The purpose of this study is to reflect on the elements that Anglería supported in the construction of the story about America that converges in his correspondence and in his work Decades of the New World.
