Abstract

The article analyzes the theme of the journey, intimately connected with the figure of the 'absent' father in Saba's Canzoniere. Leaving aside the historical and biographical reality of his flight from and return to Trieste, it investigates the journey not of Saba as author, but of Saba as a character in the Canzoniere
