Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] In the article I present a summary picture of a critical debate on the so-called "unwritten doctrines" of Plato, which took place in an International Conference held in Naples on 7-9 October 1991 at the Suor Orsola Benincasa Institute. Here the theses of great scholars of Platonism are reviewed and compared by Giovanni Reale, who presents three great "historical paradigms" of interpretation of Plato, to Werner Beierwaltes, which outlines the "Neoplatonic paradigm" of Plato's interpretation, up to to Hans Kraemer, which illustrates the "romantic paradigm", combined with essays by K. Gaiser, Ph. Merlan and CJ De Vogel. Further, Th. A. Szlazák's theses on the value of writing, by M. Erler on aporetic dialogues, by M. Migliori on the structure of the "Parmenides", by G. Movia on the "Sophist" by E. Berti su are presented critically. Aristotle and the Platonic theory "Around the Good" by G. Reale with reference to the "Republic" and the "Filebo", discussed by scholars such as V. Mathieu, V. Melchiorre, P. Prini, L. Ruggiu, E. Severino , V. Verra.
