Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] The cultural, scientific and institutional dynamics that today go through the clinical psychology in Italy, defining its characteristics, have distant roots that often intertwine, within a process of mutual influence, with the wider history of our country. In this perspective, after providing some coordinates in this regard, the article proposes to go into the merits of some of the main characteristics and unresolved issues of Italian clinical psychology.
