Abstract
The essay focuses on the concepts of “existence” – intended in its specificity as effective presence, immediate actuality – and on the concept of “identity” – seen as continuity and permanence of the personal and concrete existence, also in the change of its conditions. The link between the two notions is declined referring to the articles of Münster, Boffi, Courtine and Fossati, which, in a wide philosophical context, from Bloch to Heidegger, through Kierkegaard and Duns Scoto, investigates the singularity. Singularity is here seen in its affective structure and in its openness to the future; and also in the possibility to find, in the artwork, the haecceitas that allows the being of the thing to appear.
