Abstract
The essay by V.V. Vinogradov, The Poem of Anna Akhmatova (stylistic notes), dated July 25, 1923, is the most mature fruit of some interventions by the young Vinogradov on Anna Akhmatova's first poetic collections\ r\ n In this synchronous study of the great poet, contemporary to him, Vinogradov highlights the centrality of semantic transformations, linguistic elements aimed at creating contrast (in lexicon, intonation and syntax), the unspoken and the vagueness. We also note the abundance of linguistic structures such as adverbs and adverbial appositions or the presence of narrative and dialogic elements, as well as the absence of lexical metaphors. \ r\ n In a controversy with Ejchenbaum Vinogradov notes that in Akhmatova the verb forms are diminished in favor of the noun and adverbial ones, but in this way the temporal and dynamic functions of the verb are extended to atypical parts of speech (for example the predicative instrumental), reviving and almost animating the entire text.
