Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The negative impact of climate change on the productivity and quality of wine production makes it necessary to develop new sustainable approaches to enhance the tolerance of vines to both abiotic and biotic stresses. Soil fertility, determined by its chemical, physical and biological components, is a crucial indicator of plant health. Among these, the biodiversity of the microbiota, which constitutes most of the biomass in the soil, can be represented by numerous populations of microorganisms capable of significantly influencing the biochemical and nutritional characteristics of the agricultural soil. In addition, several studies demonstrate that the simple interaction between plant and microorganisms can activate metabolic pathways capable of generating more immediate and direct responses to stress, such as, for example, in the case of induced systemic resistance (ISR). With a view to strengthening sustainable viticulture, the integration of microbial biostimulants in vineyard management practices is configured as a useful resource for addressing emerging problems in viticulture, enhancing the tolerance and resistance of the vine to biotic and abiotic stresses
