Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] The aim of the present work is to evaluate the suitability of the RothC model to simulate the dynamics of soil organic carbon (SOC) over 12 years of organic and / or mineral fertilization practices in an Inceptisole of an experimental company in the Emilia-Romagna region , located in Gariga di Podenzano (PC), in the Po Valley (Northern Italy), with rotation of tomato, corn and alfalfa. The model allowed to describe the dynamics of SOC in the presence of manure (significant increases), borlanda (slight decreases) and no organic contribution (significant decreases), highlighting the importance of organic fertilization, in particular manure, to maintain good levels of SOC .
