Abstract
[Autom. eng. transl.] This paper aims to investigate whether the different housing conditions that young people can experience lead to changes in their values. In other words, we propose to answer the question: who has always been in the family has the same values as those who have experienced a living condition of independence or not? And who returns to it? The model of values used as a theoretical framework is that proposed by the social psychologist Shalom H. Schwartz [1992], who conceptualizes an integrated system in which he relates values, overcoming the limits present in previous approaches to their study. Some longitudinal data of the Youth Report are presented with the aim, on the one hand, of understanding the different housing conditions chosen by the boys over a three-year period (from 2015 to 2017) and, on the other hand, of verifying similarities or differences values among the children in four different housing conditions. The sample, national representative, is composed of 3034 young Italians between 20 and 35 years old. The chapter closes with some conclusive considerations and future relaunches.
