[Autom. eng. transl.] January 2008. In Rome, with Eugenia Scabini for a conference. Never, if possible, miss the chance of an exhibition, always, as they say, worth it. Moreover, not a few conferences are worth it. Here is the case at work. On the occasion of the reopening of the Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Oliver Wick, in collaboration with Katy Spurrell, presents a real event: Mark Rothko's pictorial research. We can't miss it; our spouses with us. In a short time everyone is in front of the works; yes, a personal journey founded, however, on a single material: the painting, its almost tactile presence (you would like to touch it to feel it), its light, its colors. This is what shapes the feeling. Not all the paintings, however, respond; in fact, dialogue takes place through pausing and letting oneself be penetrated: gazing to feel, to try even conflicting feelings, provided that space, given to this danger, is left behind.
