Abstract

[Autom. eng. transl.] In the debate on the transformations of democracy, the contribution analyzes the "space of mediation" in different models of representative democracy. Particular attention is given to political elites as a more evident expression - in theoretical and empirical terms - of accepting the minority principle within democracy and therefore of the relationship of mediation between representatives and representatives. In this way, the main objective is to understand if the 'space' dedicated to mediation is destined to shrink and therefore to succumb to the processes of 'immediacy'.
